A.T. Robertson covers reduplication in _A Grammar of the Greek New Testament in the Light of Historical Research_, pp 362 ff. While he goes into considerable detail regarding the phenomenon and the way it has been accomplished, he says little regarding any significance of the fact.

Subject: [B-Greek] Reduplication

I have a question about reduplication in Greek verbs. There are two verbs
that I wish to consider.

First, the verb DIDASKW has reduplication.

Second, the verb DIDWMI has reduplication.

My question is: "What is the significance of the reduplication in these two
words and in general in other verbs?"

Additonal question: "What is the significance of reduplication in other
parts of speech?"
Yours in His service,
