There really isn't much difference. Basically they're two words for approximately the same thing. You might compare it to some English expressions such as "cease and desist" -- what's the difference?

Subject: [B-Greek] ITim. 6:9
I ITim. 6:9, does anyone have a quick distinction (if there is one in
this context) between the terms OLEQRON and APWLEIAN, generally
translated by the English terms ruin and destruction. Any insight into
nuances that may be present in these terms would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
