[B-Greek] Discourse Analysis as proposed by SIL

Greetings, all.

In addition to the useful books suggested by Gary O'Neal (Thurs. 16/2/2006),
Michael Hayes (and others) could profit by looking at
the very practical compendium comprised by DOING SEMANTICS, by Ellis Deibler
and Allan & Phyllis Healey, Kangaroo Ground, Victoria, SPSIL (1998).

For an unusually fruitful and principle-based approach to the (otherwise
often elusive) pragmatic aspects of discourse analysis from a functional
perspective (which I have found very interesting when applied to New
Testament Greek text), the work of Thompson and Mann, also Mann and
Thompson, can be found on or via the RST (Rhetorical Structure Theory)
website.

Best wishes,
