This is one method used to compensate for the lack of an indefinite
article in Greek. I haven't done a lot of study in the gospel lately so
I can't pull a citation off the top of my head, but this does occur in
the Apocalypse. In Rev 55 we find
KAI hEIS EK TWN PRESBUTERWN LEGEI MOI, "MH KLAIE . . ."
in 8.13 we find
KAI EIDON, KAI HKOUSA hENOW AETOU PETOMENOU EN MEOURANHMATI LEGOTOS . . .
