Hello.  yes.  The whole notion of exegesis based on the etymological fallacy
is dangerous ground.  Very dangerous indeed.  TDNT contains interesting
information; but how useful it is for a correct reading of the NT is
terribly questionable.  James Barr many years ago blasted, and I mean
blasted, the whole enterprise.  I think quite rightly.
