Every time I have visited a Greek Orthodox Church, they
read and chant and pronounce the NT Readings and the Divine
Liturgy (Koine and Byzantine/Koine Greek) with a Modern
Greek pronunciation. So, I suspect the answer to the
question is that Modern Greeks read/pronounce Biblical
Greek with a Modern Greek pronunciation.
