No. The English word "eschatology" derives from the NT Greek word  
ESCATOS/A/ON in the sense "final." See ESCATOS in BDAG, §2b. TELOS as  
"end" or "goal" does appear in what might be called eschatological  
contexts in the GNT, but it isn't involved in the etymology of the  
English word "eschatology" at all.
