Given the choice of accepting Erasmus' evaluation of the way the 
language should be spoken, and the multitude of contrary voices; I must 
confess that I believe Erasmus more than I do the chorus of naysayers. 
Erasmus was, after all, smarter than all of us combined.  Or pretty near 
to it.
