You are asking for a Greek word which is used for an English word in modern translations. This makes things a bit iffy. If you had asked what Greek word translates the Hebrew QfHfL (pronounce "qahol"), it would be an easier matter. I see offhand both EKKLHSIA and SUNAGWGH used in the LXX. There may be more, and I have no idea what word is used for "assembly" what percentage of the time. I suggest you might rephrase.

have a problem... I do not know what is the greek word for assembly used in the Old Testament. What I have found is that the present word ??????? meaning assembly is not the word ekklesia of the new testament. My question is... What is the greek word used for 'assembly' in the Old testament?
