Subject: PROSFATOS

Heb. 10:20 hHN ENEKAINISEN hHMIN hODON PROSFATON

WHY IS PROSFATON translated new? would it be better to say a new slain?

=============
While in etymological origin, PROSFATOS may derive from a root (seen
in QEINW and FONOS) that means "slaughter" or "kill" and the prefix
"in addition", in NT Koine usage it's more like "new-made" (or slang
"new-fangled").
