[B-Greek] Revelation 2:13 & Objective Genitive?

It took me awhile to see what you were pointing out...I typed in hO
PISTOS MOU, but had been studying THN PISTIN MOU.

The phrase that caught my eye...

KAI OUK HRNHSW THN PISTIN MOU KAI EN TAIS HMERAIS ANTIPAS.(Revelation
2:13b)

The phrase I was looking at is THN PISTIN MOU. This phrase is
translated
By the NAU as 'My faith'. The NIV translates it as 'Faith in Me'.
As I looked at it initially it seemed clear to me that it should be
translated as 'faith in Me'...

Is the choice to translate it as 'My faith' simply based on the genitive
form or are there other considerations for that option? Beale says it
is an
Objective genitive. If one sees it differently, what factors mitigate
for that view?

Thanks for your input.

[Doug] You're misreading the NAU which translates the earlier THN PISTIN
MOU
as "My faith" and hO PISTOS MOU as (very literally) "my witness, my
faithful
one", (at least in my electronic version) rather than as "my faithful
witness" which would be better English.
The MOU in THN PISTIN MOU is understood by NAU, as far as I can see
(oddly,
I think) as a possessive "My faith" whereas most interpret as "faith in
me"
taking it as an objective genitive.

hO PISTOS MOU is nominative, qualifying and agreeing with hO MARTUS MOU,
and
the MOU in both cases is simply possessive.
