[B-Greek] What NT Bible do you recommend for a newcomer?

I have been using the NET Diglot for my self-study. I am aware of some
of the evils of using a diglot, and it is difficult not to look over at
the english. The reason I like the NET diglot in particular is that the
notes are particularly helpful if you are trying to read the Greek. Last
night I was working my way through the wedding at Cana (John 2 1-11)
and Jesus says to his mother:
TI EMOI KAI SOI GUNAI

That didn't make any sense to me. The NET bible note confirmed for me
that I basically understood the literal Greek, which is something like
"What to me and to you, woman?" and then gave a fairly long explanation
of the idiom.

If you decide not to go with a diglot, I would still suggest you get
either the NET bible, or at least use the one online at
http://www.bible.org/netbible to help in those times that the literal
Greek doesn't make much sense. The regular NET bible does have the same
notes, you don't HAVE to get the diglot (the regular one has more notes,
actually). The NET diglot is about $60, though.

" Hi there...
"
" My son is a homeschooled high school senior who
" is just starting to study the ancient biblical
" versions of the Bible. He is interested in both
" the Old Testament Hebrew and the New Testament
" Greek.
"
" Unfortunately, our search for a Bible in those
" languages is confusing. A search on amazon.com
" yields lots of different choices, but we don't
" know which one would be best. I'd like to find
" something affordable (I'm thinking $40).
"
" I'm hoping that you might have a recommendation
" for a Bible that has both languages or one that
" is the New Testament Greek by itself (we have
" been able to find lots of versions of the Old
" Testament in Hebrew so that is not a problem).
"
" If you were just starting out and had zero
" knowledge of ancient Greek, which NT Bible would
" you get?
"
" Thanks very much for your help.
