>From what I've seen so far, the 'nominative' case is used for the subject of a sentence. In addition, I know it can also be used for a noun acting as a 'predicate nominative'.

I want to be able to determine when a new sentence has started. Is it true that a new sentence will have a noun, pronoun, or substantival adjective in the 'nominative' case and not in a dependent (i.e. following INA or OTI) or prepostional phrase?

Thanks!
