EUXARISTW SOI GEWRGW,
EPILAQOMENOS TOU TextKit.
Thank you, I could have saved some travel weight.
Barry,
On Turner I would recommend owning and frequent reference. He is one
of the few with frequent statistical comparison between secular Greek
and 'biblical' Greek. His views that Jewish Greek had 'regularized'
this within a dialect do not need to be accepted in order to find his
data and notes helpful as a starting point. (Especially in the
gospels, I tend to find Turner's Jewish Greek to reflect the
intermeshing and re-editing of source material. That is a specialist
endeavor that is helped by Turner's notes, and regardless of Turner's
conclusions. So I find that I frequently consult his work even though
I would be towards the other end of the spectrum with regards to his
conclusions.)
