Subject: [B-Greek] EUNOCOS -- range of definitions, please

WARNING: This topic could easily veer away from Greek, to historical
matters, to current events, to flames. Let's be careful to stay on topic.

I have read and heard several conflicting definitions for EUNOCOS.
There is no way that everything I've read can be correct.

Among the definitions I've been given are:
castrated man, unmarried man, celibate man, king's servant, homosexual.

Without regard to current events or cultural issues, could someone
please give me the unadorned truth about what EUNOCOS can mean?

Thank you very much!

paper, the TV, and the pulpit.
