Gal 3:22
ALLA SUNEKLEISEN hH GRAFH TA PANTA hUPO hAMARTIAN
hINA hH EPAGGELIA EK PISTEWS IHSOU XRISTOU
DOQHi TOIS PISTEUOUSIN
Please correct me if I am wrong: Despite its position coming right
after EPAGGELIA, does the phrase 'EK PISTEWS IHSOU XRISTOU' not
function as adverbially to modify DOQHi rather than adjectivally to
modify hH EPAGGELIA?
Understanding the 'promise' as in the preceding v. 21 [the promise
given by God to Abraham], it would be more likely. Then the rendering
by GW which reads
'Therefore, a promise based on faith in Jesus Christ could be given to
those who believe' would be wrong since it suggests a different
promise than Abrahamic one.
KJV is as usual unclear:
'that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that
believe.'
NET seems accurate:
'so that the promise could be given — because of the faithfulness of
Jesus Christ — to those who believe.'
If allowed paraphrasing, I would like take the text saying
'so that the [very] promise of God [given to Abraham] would be given
to those who believe on the basis of the faith in Jesus Christ'

P.S.
I am not concerned with the issue of subjective vs. objective genitive
of 'faith of/in Jesus'.
