Spoken like a person who has actually read Thucydides.
"Rapid" and "Thucydides" don't go together. What did R. G.
Collingwood say about his writing? --something like: "What was wrong
with this man to make him write in this way?"
Read Plato.
Or, for real fun, forget Attic and read Herodotus.
