[B-Greek] Col 2:3 APOKRUFOI hidden treasures or treasures are hidden?

Adjectives (APOKRUFOI) are of two types in their relation to nouns
1. Attributive -- this directly describes the noun "The good man . . ."
2. Predicative -- this states something regarding the noun "The man is good."

For the attributive usage when there is no article with the noun then the adjective may follow the noun WITH AN ARTICLE. There is an article before QHSAUROI so this does not apply. When there is an article with the noun (hOI QHSAUROI) the adjective, if it is attributive, will either be between the article and the noun (hOI APOKRUFOI QHSAUROI) which is not what we see here. Otherwise, again, if it is attributive, will follow the noun BUT WILL HAVE ITS OWN ARTICLE. APOKRUFOI does not have an article and must therefore be considered to be predicative ("The treasures are hidden"). Having said that, you are going to ask about PAS. This is what is called a pronominal adjective. It does not require the article.

The predicative adjective similarly comes in two forms -- adjective + article + noun (1 Tim 1.15 PISTOS hO LOGOS) and article + noun + adjective 1 Jn 4.8 hO QEOS AGAPH ESTIN (Note that here it has a copulative verb. I'm not sure that it does in every instance since I haven't checked specifically for that, but I think it most generally does.).

Subject: [B-Greek] Col 2:3 APOKRUFOI hidden treasures or treasures are hidden?

Col 2:3

EN hWi EISIN PANTES hOI QHSAUROI THS SOFIAS KAI FNWSEWS APOKRUFOI

Is it "All the hidden treasures are in Him"
vs. "All the treasures are hidden in Him."

Which one is correct understanding of the Gk? The difference is not
small. Since the mystery is what was hidden but not revealed, the
latter is of suspect when it emphasizes 'being hidden'. As for the
former, I may understand as 'All the treasures which had been hidden
are in Him."

Thanks for your help.

Oun Kwon.

P.S.

My recent posting of a question has apparently failed to be broadcast
to the list members. That may be I do not see any response or the
question was of no merit? I am cautiously posting this one, hoping
the question is too elementary and not so much of translation issue.
