Hi, Steve.

There is no proof that the 'Easter'  was derived from 'Ostara'.  That
word is simply related (being based on 'easter' = sun rising
direction) does not prove that it is etymological root.  I think that
someone in Britain wrote (was he Bede?) umteen hundred years ago is no
more than his brainy conjecture and serves as laughable
dysinformation.
