Subject: [B-Greek] When was the word "John" first used?

>>The "Koran" states that the word "John" was first used in history for
John The Baptist. I ran it on my software of the Bible which included the
Greek Septuagint and so far have not found them wrong. Would someone who
has the ability to search outside Scripture see if you can find an example
of the greek or Hebrew word for "John" used prior to the Birth of John The
Baptist. I could not search the Hebrew Old testament. Thanks for your
help.<<

I found it at 1 Esd 9:29, 1 Mac 2:1, et passim, documents which clearly
precede the NT writings. If the Qur'an claims this, it's simply wrong.
What is the reference in the Qur'an?
