I think, if you simply keep reading and looking up the words you don't remember taking care to really read the entry and look up the examples for each use, you will find that you begin to simply know what they intend. You won't need to memorize "A is for apple" … (OK, a silly example). Of course, some words are less frequent so you might need to make some effort to "memorize" them, but I'd worry about that after you've learned the basics.

Subject: [B-Greek] Definitions of Koine words in various books

Hi
I find this hard to make decisions on what English Definition of Koine words
in various books I'm working with in 2nd year readers when it comes to my
memorization. When I was using Mounce for 1st year this was not a problem, he
was the only book I used.
In 2nd year Graded readers, Mounce, Baugh, & Decker & others use different
English words for the Greek.
It's hard enough to learn 1, 2 or even 3 English words that can be used for
a Greek word.
Any suggestions from the group would be appreciated on what would be the
best way, that is in memorizing new words, from a 50 > to 20 frequency. I want
to not memorize more then I have to. It's hard enough as it is.
Thanks
Jim Montesano
