B-Greeks --

I'm sure this has been discussed to death in the archives somewhere (and
feel free to point me there). But I'm wondering what you're preferred texts are
for teaching introductory NT Greek.

In particular, I've been enjoying Ian MacNair's book and I'm wondering if
anyone has commented on it for this list. I find it very easy to use, and I
appreciate that (unlike, say, Machen) MacNair writes with a sense of humor,
doesn't teach Greek as if it were Latin or as if he expects his readers to know
Latin (e.g., he doesn't distinguish between the ablative and genitive), uses
the biblical text as much as possible instead of creating fake sentences ("The
boys are throwing stones at the church"), and takes into account new
developments in language learning (e.g., the importance of untidy input alongside
tidy input).

Anyone else worked with MacNair? Anything better (preferably with the
features I mentioned above)? Anything else you prefer?

As well, does anyone know how I can get my hands of a cheap copy of
Perschbacher's _Refresh Your Greek_ (which I see I discussed here:
_http://lists.ibiblio.org/pipermail/b-greek/1999-May/005573.html_
(http://lists.ibiblio.org/pipermail/b-greek/1999-May/005573.html) )? The cheapest copy I can find is still
about $50.00.

John
