[B-Greek] for young beginners: Greek sudoku

Here's a bit of whimsy in case you have kids who are working on learning to
recognize and write the letters of the Greek alphabet: sudoku puzzles using
Greek letters in place of arabic numerals.

I have temporarily placed five puzzles as Word docs in this web folder:

http://webpages.charter.net/caledonia/Sudoku/

There's also a PDF file that contains all five of them.

These five use the Greek letters that were actually used for the numerals 1
through 9, including stigma for 6. You could use any nine letters. In case
someone wants to make more of these, here's how I did it: create the Word
table (you can just copy mine); type in the numerals, copying an existing
sudoku puzzle (I get them from websudoku.com); proofread; then change the
numerals to Greek letters. For changing the numerals to Greek letters, I
created a Word macro that I believe I have embedded in the first Word
doc--tiried, anyway. You could change it to use other letters. You could
also use uppercase rather than lowercase. Maybe someone will get ambitious
and create a whole stash of these for us; or maybe there's already a stash
somewhere out there in cyberspace--I didn't even look, and should have, come
to think of it . . .
