Well, there are ninny-nannies everywhere who that we properly the King's English speak (Ahem!  Great sentence structure here.) so why should it be a surprise that some would wish to have the text be precisely, legally correct?

I wonder why this "neat" solution doesn't satisfy serious  
commentators e.g., H.B.Swete and more recently R.T. France. They both  
reject the reading found in the USB text.
