The relative passage which you have failed to supply is found in 1 Cor 11. I select the relevant portions
5 PASA DE GUNH PROSEUXOMENH H PROFHTEUOUSA AKATAKALUPTWi THi KEFALHi KATAISUNEI THN KEFALHN AUTHS; hEN GAR ESTIN TO AUTO THi ECURHMENHi
13 EN hUMIN AUTOIS KRINATE: PREPON ESTIN GUNAIKA AKATAKALUPTON TWi QEWi PROSEUXESQAI?
14 OUDE hH FUSIS AUTH DIDASKEI hUMAS hOTI ANHR MEN EAN KOMAi ATIMIA AUTWi ESTIN
15 GUNH DE EAN DOMAi DOCA AUTHi ESTIN hOTI hH KOMH ANTI PERIBOLAIOU DEDOTAI [AUTHi]
16 EI DE TIS DOKEI FILONEIKOS EINAI, hHMEIS TOIAUTHN SUNHQEIAN OUK EXOMEN OUDE hAI EKKLHSIAI TOU QEOU
The word for "long" with regard to hair is KOMH and the verb "to wear the hair long" is KOMAW. What is KOMH? It is "not short." And what is "short"? It is "not long." In other words, it is a relative matter. For the hair to be long would, however, not include ECURHMENHi or "shaven" as in verse 5. Beyond that, it is impossible to say precisely what Paul may have had in mind. He does speak regarding FUSIS or "nature" which might mean nothing more than "custom", and he does speak of long hair as being PERIBOLAIOU or "covering", but how much it is to cover is not stated.

Subject: [B-Greek] Question concerning NT original Greek word
I am trying to figure out what the original greek means where it says
in the bible for a woman to have long hair? Does it mean uncut? or
just long? Is it a separation of men and women, or submission by not
even cutting a little? I want the ancient greek word for Long, and
the original definition. I would really appreciate any help.
Thank you!
Mrs Claire Jones
