The GNT should be considered as belonging to Hellenistic literature,
but there's an immense amount of Hellenistic literature contemporary
with and before and after the NT era the vocabulary of which is
relevant to understanding the vocabulary of the GNT. Actually, I'm
not sure it's really true that L&N ignroe extra-biblical Greek
literature.
