Is it possible to take the subject of the verb as 'it' being left
unspecified (as the readers understand as neither 'salt' or 'earth'
but something like 'food')? Is it possible from taking the meaning of
the verb same as ARTUQHSETAI in parallel Lk14:34?
I read NKJ rendering 'how shall it be seasoned' in both Mt and Lk.
(cf. CEV 'How can it make food salty' in Mt, but 'how can it be made
to taste salty again' in Lk.)
I wonder whether these two verbs synonymous and interchangeable?
Oun.
