Luke 3:5 KAI hAI TRACEIAI EIS hODOUS LEIAS
Luke 3:5 καὶ αἱ τραχεῖαι εἰς ὁδοὺς λείας
I assume that TRACEIAI refers to rough roads here, and that the literal
meaning is something like, "and the rough shall be changed to smooth
roads", forcing both the Greek and English reader to look to the context
to figure out that it's talking about rough roads.
I also assume that the meaning would be unchanged if it had said KAI hAI
TRACEIAI hODOUS EIS hODOUS LEIAS (καὶ αἱ τραχεῖαι εἰς ὁδοὺς λείας).
True? Or am I missing something? Could this also refer to rough
mountainous terrain, which will be transformed into perfectly smooth
paved roads?
