Once again I agree. My comments were based on too small a sample.  
Since I posted that comment I have had some second and third thoughts  
about Funk. I have looked at about 150 pages now. I think he is worth  
putting up on the web. I think that any student who is willing to  
take the time to understand his framework will benefit from working  
with the book.

I am not sure if he is going to be palatable to a twenty-something  
north american who came up through the public school system. For  
example he dives into some fairly mind numbing material in his  
treatment of the third declension. I guess the title is appropriate,  
this is not exclusively a beginning grammar.
