It did not occur to me that your description of Funk could be construed as 
voicing doctrinal judgements. (Now that you pointed it out I can see that 
someone could possibly stretch it that way.) However; I appreciate the 
introduction.  It puts a human face to a larger-than-life name.  Concerning 
Danker, reading his foreword in BDAG had that same effect on me.
