  John,

It appears that this word is used only here in the LXX. (Dan. 3:96) I  
do not believe that its root word is in BDAG or any of my other  
lexicons. A search on google or yahoo brings up only links to two  
transliterations of the LXX. Not much help there either.

Accordance provides the gloss to dismember. Since the form is a  
future passive, the glosses that you mentioned seem to be accurate.

A search on Google simple for DIAMELIZW brought up the following  
sites related to video games and music. I would not be surprised to  
see the idea of dismemberment discussed on a video game forum.

It appears that word is still used in modern Greek.
