Is this phrase, taken alone, grammatically ambiguous?

Luke 5:3 ἠρώτησεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἐπαναγαγεῖν ὀλίγον
Luke 5:3 HRWTHSEN AUTON APO THS GHS EPANAGAGEIN OLIGON

In context, it's clear that the following is meant:

ἠρώτησεν αὐτὸν
ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἐπαναγαγεῖν ὀλίγον

HRWTHSEN AUTON
APO THS GHS EPANAGAGEIN OLIGON

The first time I read this, I was confused because I read it this way,
which makes no sense in context:

ἠρώτησεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς
ἐπαναγαγεῖν ὀλίγον

HRWTHSEN AUTON APO THS GHS
EPANAGAGEIN OLIGON

Is this misreading grammatically correct, with the meaning that Jesus
was standing on the land and told Simon to put the boat out a little?

Jonathan
