ACTS 21:15 META DE TAS hHMERAS TAUTAS EPISKEUASAMENOI ANEBAINOMEN EIS
hIEROSOLUMA: 16 SUNHLQON DE KAI TWN MAQHTWN APO KAISAREIAS SUN
hHMIN, AGONTES PAR' hWi XENISQWMEN MNASWNI TINI KUPRIWi, ARCAIWi
MAQHTHi.

v.16b AGONTES PAR' hWi XENISQWMEN MNASWNI TINI KUPRIWi, ARCAIWi
MAQHTHi has been explained in various ways; headless relative,
relative clause with an internal head, attraction, etc. If my memory
is correct, someone pointed out recently that attraction is just a
poor way of explaining what is actually the case marking the function
of the relative clause within a higher level construction.

I am leaning toward a headless relative here and don't any need to
explain the dative case, since the entire string of datives go with
PAR'.

What do you think?
