[B-Greek] Clem. Alex. Protreptikos 4

Dear colleagues,

Recently I worked through Clement of Alexandria's Protrepticus in order to
trace his attitude towards 'images' (and 'idols') of deities. Apart from the
impressing rhetoric capacity Clement shows there to convince his (mostly
pagan) readership, he employs all the relevant terms that were used in those
days for statues, images, idols et al. (ZOANON, EIDWLON, AGALMA, ANDRIAS,
EIKWN).
After focusing on philology and, above all, on the vocabulary alone, I am
interested in an overall assessment of Prot. IV:

for those of you who know this chapter more closely ...

(1) Does Clement use some of the terms mentioned above as synonyms? Or does
he clearly distinguish between all of them? - If you know examples from
other writings by Clement (e.g. Strom.), please, let me know about it.

(2) Does anybody know about special studies of Prot. IV, no matter be they
more hermeneutical or philological (or stylistical) ones?

Any comments welcome. Thanks in advance.

Thomas
