Can someone clue me in on the corrrect pronunciation of logos?
I have always thought to two o's to be omicrons and thus pronounced as
"ah" - lahgahs.
I have listened to a few renowned scholars who pronounce it as
"lohgahs" or "lahgohs".
Does Greek "evolve" or what?
Thanks
Ray

Yes, Greek evolves, but in this case it is simply a case of pronouncing
Greek with American English sounds. I don't believe there is any evidence
to suggest that Greeks have ever confused Omicron with Alpha. If you can't
hear Greeks pronouncing the word, following an Italian or Spanish
pronunciation would get you closer to the original sound.
