Classical Greek refers in general to all the dialects
of the Greek language spoken in Classical Antinquity
(the time of the Roman Empire and before). Attic is
the dialect of Athens and much of the most famous
Greek literature. In Classics departments Attic is
traditionally the first dialect taught and the one to
which the others are compared.

This is the text book I used with reasonable success
and Dr. Conrad (who taught Greek for many years)
considers it reasonably good. It is rather intensive
and sometimes assumes background knowledge of grammar,
but if you have already studied a little Koine you
should be alright.

Attic and Koine (the "common" language used in the NT)
are closely related and very similar. Attic remained
the literary "standard" to which authors came more or
less close. There are probably a few pitfalls but I
can't think of anything at the moment. Feel free to
ask questions on the list if something doesn't make
sense.

I am sure others can recommend Koine textbooks, I
don't have an opinion myself. As for time, it depends
on how much you can put in per week. In any event, it
will take a long term commitment of months to years to
really internalize the language and be able to use it
with some fluency. A goal that I haven't really met
yet, but that is mostly a factor of my having other
priorities recently.
