The variant reflects the Hebraistic turn of phrase POIEW ELEOS
META. Since the Goettingen apparatus has ELEOS marked as a
hexaplaric plus, the primary issue is NOT the sense of the verse as a
whole but rather its quantitative equivalence to the source text.
How about:
Do not put us to shame,
but do mercy with us in your fairness
and in your abundant mercy.
