Luke 2:27
Καὶ [Συμεών] ἦλθεν ἐν τῷ πνεύματι εἰς τὸ ἱερόν· καὶ ἐν τῷ εἰσαγαγεῖν τοὺς γονεῖς τὸ παιδίον Ἰησοῦν, τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτοὺς κατὰ τὸ εἰθισμένον τοῦ νόμου περὶ αὐτοῦ,
KAI [SUMEWN] HLQEN EN TWi PNEUMATI EIS TO hIERON: KAI EN TWi EISAGAGEIN TOUS GONEIS TO PAIDION IHSOUN, TOU POIHSAI AUTOUS KATA TO EIQISMENON TOU NOMON PERI AUTOU,
The phrase:
κατὰ τὸ εἰθισμένον τοῦ νόμου
KATA TO EIQISMENON TOU NOMOU
Is this "the thing which has been EQIZW'd by the law"? Or "the part of the law which has been EQIZW'd"?
Second, is this a judgment call, or is there a one way to say it to mean one thing, and another way to mean the other?
