Ephesians 5:26 hINA AUTHN hAGIASHi KAQARISAS TWi LOUTRWi TOU hUDATOS
EN hRHMATI,
TOU hUDATOS syntactically further defines TWi LOUTRWi which is a noun
so it might be called adnominal by some people. Semantically it
provides the instrument or material of TWi LOUTRWi. The problem with
this passage is not what to make of TOU hUDATOS but what to do with EN
hRHMATI.
