To respond in the same vein as George:

Reading Mark's post, it made me think of something I read in a running
magazine years ago. An Olympic coach was asked about whether it was better
technique to breath through one's nose or mouth while running. His response
I think is appropriate here:

"Breath through your nose, your mouth, your eyes if you are able...get air
anyway you can."

The same applies to Greek. Get it anyway you can.
