[B-Greek] An unauthorized rebuke to some members

Perhaps this has no important relevance for the question itself, but are
there any instances in the NT where EUDOKHSAN is found? I only find the
aorist forms corresponding to pers. I sg., II sg., III sg. and I pl. using
"EU"; the III pl. aorist form I could only find in two instances, i.e. Rom
15:26,27, and it has the "HU" as initial diphtong.

To list members:

I would like to encourage others on this list to answer questions if you
have the answers rather than leaving all questions up to Dr. Conrad. (He has
not approved this message and may very well remove me from this list.)

It seems a bit unfair (this is just my personal opinion) to put that burden
on him.

I recently asked this question:

> Can anyone please inform me as to why the classical HUDOKHSAN would
> become EUDOKHSAN in the NT period? Is EUDOKHSAN somehow still
> augmented? If not, is the change from HU- to EU- accounted for by
> their similarity in pronunciation (assuming they were)?

Mark L. attempted an answer from a Modern Greek viewpoint. If others have
training in this area, please feel 'obligated' to help us who need help.

I realize we all have busy schedules, so I'm not asking everyone to respond
to every message. Just a little common sense would be appreciated.

I know there are Greek teachers out here, and I would hope you have a heart
for students who want to learn. I've tried on a few occasions myself to
answer a question or two, and I hope after a few more years of study I'll be
able to participate more. So, if you are still a rookie like me, this is not
addressed to you. (There are a few others besides Dr. Conrad who have done
their fair share; we all know who they are. And the ones who have not done
their fair share know who you are :o )

I mean no disrespect to anyone. And in case I am banned from this site, I
just want to thank everyone who has helped me with their insights.

Respectfully,

Mitch Larramore
