Hi Richard,
Only this last email I received from you was Unicode encoded. The first two
were not.
What Internet browser are you using?
Just to be sure, could you please try opening an account in Gmail or Yahoo
Beta?
Someone informed that Yahoo Beta works fine with Unicode
Good to know you can use MS Word!
You are very close to take complete advantage of Unicode.
In Christ,
Roman

Hello Folks,
First of all, many thanks to Sarah and Roman for their helpful remarks.
By way of explanation: Juno DOES allow for Unicode enablement. My first
message was NOT Unicode enabled, my second WAS. As you saw, it made no
difference at all. Though I wrote (or pasted) what looked like Greek into
my email program, I too received two lines of question marks. I have
ALWAYS been able to receive Unicode. The Greek text that Roman sent looks
just fine in my Juno email program. I have NEVER been able to write and
send Greek text and have it come out as readable Greek at the other end.
Nevertheless, Roman's instructions did help me make some progress. Thanks
to Roman I can now WRITE in Unicode Greek in MS Word with all the
diacriticals. I can even type Greek text into Juno. But most of the
diacriticals appear as question marks even before I send it out.
I guess I'll have to switch to Gmail or something. The problem is that I
like to compose offline. I don't think that Gmail will allow for that.
Yours in His grace,

Richards email is not encoded in Unicode. He has a Juno webmail account.
As far as I know, Juno webmail is "powered" by Yahoo. Yahoo does not work
fine with Unicode.

Hi, Roman --
I read your text fine, but Richard's example looked like two rows of
question marks.

Hello Richard,
That is strange. Unicode is working great in all software I am using in
my
notebook.
Some webmail clients like Yahoo are not Unicode enabled. Gmail works
fine.
The email I received from you is not encoded using Unicode.
Please let me know if you can read the following text:

Hello Folks,
Below is my attempt to implement Roman Caceres' instructions for writing
in Greek on the list. I used the Gentium font. The first line I typed out
in MS Word and pasted it to my Juno e-mail program. The second I typed
directly into my Juno e-mail program.

?e? ?a???? ??? ?? ?????...

P. S. - I wonder why the English looks different above and below the
Greek lines?
