Dear Rev Doug Pickrel,

the reason is because an ordinary emails does not include fonts - for
alpha whatever the font, if the email is in unicode then it sends the
number 945, for beta the number 946 etc.

Attaching a document or file can be better choice. For example a rtf
(rich text format) document/file includes the name of the font you
used for each character and if the person who receives the file has
the same fonts on their computer the document will look the same. The
name "rich text" is because the text is enriched with extra
information which among other things includes the size, font and
colour of each character. If you wish the other person to see exactly
the same as you then the solution is to attach a pdf file which has
the fonts included in it. On windows one way to make a pdf file is to
use CutePDF Writer, which i free and available
http://www.cutepdf.com/download/CuteWriter.exe . After installing to
make a pdf file you click on print and then choose CutePDF a s the
printer and instead of printing on paper the result is printed in a
pdf file, which anyone can read.

yours sincerely
John Knightley
