Mike Aubrey has a nice piece in his Ἐν ᾿Εφέσῳ blog this
morning
(http://evepheso.wordpress.com/2008/11/03/a-revolutionary-greek-grammar/#comment-4347

= http://tinyurl.com/6hjpvr) with the above rubric. 'Tis a
consummation devoutly to be wished. At any rate, the blog entry is an
excellent and surprisingly concise statement about what's wrong, to a
greater or lesser degree, in all the available Greek primers. I still
think that Robert Funk in his "Beginning-Intermediate Grammar of
Hellenistic Greek") went farther than other attempts along these
lines. The question I'd raise, however, is whether, if such a book
does/did exist, there would really be much of a market for it.
