In view of the fact that the phrase EN KURIWi appears 96x in the GNT
(95x within the greater Pauline corpus), I would think that
proposition difficult to maintain. See BDAG s.v. EN §4.c. esp. in
Paul. or Joh. usage, to designate a close personal relation in which
the referent of the ἐν-term is viewed as the controlling influence:
under the control of, under the influence of, in close association
with ...
