This was buried in a another email.  If Nikalaos means that Greek is a 
continuously developing language that has survived from ancient times, then 
yes.  If he seriously means that there has been no change in "sounds," then 
this needs explanation, as it completely denies everything we know about the 
history of the language.  I know from experience that modern Greek speakers 
who attempt reading ancient Greek without special instruction have a lot of 
difficulty doing so...
