TOUTO ESTIN TO SWMA MOU TO hUPER hUMWN DIDOMENON.
TOUTO POIEITE EIS THN EMHN ANAMNHSIN.

The similarity between what Paul is quoting Jesus as having done and said and what Luke is quoting
him as having done and said is striking. I can see two options, either Paul had access to Luke's
Gospel or he had access to a written collection in either Hebrew or Greek of some of the words of
Jesus. I think the second is the more likely.

In view of this I take APO TOU KURIOU as an intended reference to the actual words of Jesus rather
than a direct revelation from Jesus to Paul. He has it from the horse's mouth as some might say with
an English idiom. The words that Paul is about to quote are from (APO) the Lord himself, not
something he heard from Peter or others, and the fact that these are the unadulterated words of
Jesus add to their authority.

The EGW PARELABON might suggest that Paul had access to a papyrus with Jesus' words that the
Corinthians may not have had.
What he has received as the words of Jesus start with TOUTO MOU ESTIN TO SWMA...
