There is some debate about the meaning of MNEIA hUMWN in Phil. 1:3. Some think
it is a subjective genitive and others that it is an objective genitive. Did
Paul thank God for his memory of the Philippians or for the Philippians'
remembering Paul in prison?
I am interested in studying this issue in some depth. That would require a
corpus (beyond the size of the NT occurrences) on the use of MNEIA. I would
be thankful if anyone could produce such a corpus with some context both
before and after the word.
Also any comments on the question itself are welcome.
