Thanks for the post.  My toes feel fine!

Subject: [B-Greek] Urban legends

Thank you to everyone who is responding to my post about NT Greek urban
legends. I am continuing to receive responses off-list, which is probably
the best way to respond in order to avoid unnecessary conflicts and injured
toes, unless the purpose of the post is clearly to promote dialogue
concerning a genuine misunderstanding. I should probably clarify that my
intent is NOT, and hopefully never will be, to mock or insult anyone who has
held or preached or taught such nuggets that I've been calling "urban
legends." I don't doubt for one minute the motives of the people who pass
them on. What I doubt, and hope that I do so with a non-judgmental spirit,
is the truth or universality of these things. So to those of you who
continue to respond, thank you, keep them coming, and let's make sure that
we keep our tone professional and our mind open.
