Infinitive of purpose, μνησθῆναι, MNHSQHNAI, perhaps, explaining God's 
action in ἀντελάβετο, ANTELABETO.  If Luke had wanted to state that he 
wanted to help Israel remember his mercy, he would have used a different 
verb putting "Israel, his child" in the accusative as the subject of the 
infinitive.
